John Cena

John Cena won the WWE championship a record amount of times. He is one of the most recognizable and renowned professional wrestlers in the last decade. But now, Cena has broken another record, and he did it without having to wear tights. Cena has granted 650 wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which is a Guiness World Record.

Cena began working with the foundation in 2001, which fulfills dreams and wishes for children with terminal or life-threatening diseases. He has brought joy to countless lives, making hospital visits and doing whatever he can to put a smile on these childrens’ faces. Cena’s unbridled enthusiasm and kindness has impact so many people and have made him a beloved figure among Make-A-Wish recipients and their families

“I can’t say enough how cool it is to see the kids so happy, and their families so happy, I truly want to show them that it’s their day,” he said back when he crossed the 500 wish threshold in 2015. “I just drop everything. I don’t care what I’m doing,”

“We’re thrilled to celebrate John Cena and his involvement with the Make-A-Wish foundation,” The Guinness Book of World Records said in a statement.

One aspect of Cena’s philanthropy that has garnered a lot of enthusiasm is his willingness to go above and beyond to make each wish special. He has been known to surprise children at hospitals, schools, and even in their own homes, often incorporating his signature wrestling moves and catchphrases into the experience. Cena’s genuine enthusiasm and kindness have made him a beloved figure among Make-A-Wish recipients and their families. He is the most requested celebrity for the foundation.

Cena supports various other charitable organizations, including the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the After-School All-Stars. His dedication to giving back to the community has earned him numerous awards and accolades.

The lives and careers of professional wrestlers are not easy. You’re spending the majority of the year on the road, you’re dealing with a tremendous impact on your body, injuries, etc. For Cena to be as passionate and committed to his charity work, especially those with children, speaks volumes for the kind of man and human being he is – and is a beacon of hope and inspiration for all of us who are trying to be better in our own way.
