Tom Brady

There is no name more synonymous with winning than Tom Brady. The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback won seven Super Bowl championships and is widely regarded as the best to ever do it at the quarterback position. But the winning isn’t relegated to the football field, he continues to show he is a winner off of it. Brady announced that he is donating $100,000 to victims of Hurricane Milton.

Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key, Florida as a Category 3 storm, wrecking havoc in the state and knocking power out for more than 3 million people. Brady, who owns a home on the water in Miami, announced on social media that the donation will help those in need with food, water, and other emergency supplies.

A natural born leader who won the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award three separate times, is used to inspiring others. Be it teammates, coaches, or fans. Brady is hopeful that this act of kindness and generosity will inspire others to act similarly in their own capacity.

“Keep those impacted by these storms in your prayers, look out for your neighbors, and continue to help out anyway you’re able. Stay safe, and stay strong Florida,” Brady posted.

Hurricane Miton has already killed several people and unfortunately that number is expected to rise as the storm continues to cause damage in the Sunshine State. Brady’s donation was matched by GoPuff, the food and alcohol delivery service that partnered with the legendary quarterback last year.

Winning is a mindset. Brady continues to pursue excellence in all fields. Even though #12 has hung up his cleats and helmet, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t strive to be the best he can be as a civilian and a citizen. This donation serves as an example of the level of commitment Brady has to continue to inspire others with his actions.

One of the most popular football players in history is known to be the most serious of competitors. As he embarks on this post-football chapter of his life, we can only hope that this level of charity and philanthropy delivers the same satisfaction to the former pigskin great. Because whenever Brady puts his mind to do something, greatness tends to follow.
